What's In My (Helicopter) EDC Pouch

Over the last few years I’ve found myself needing a few essential items during our Helicopter trips. I built out an EDC pouch to contain the essentials, this is the break down.

Originally I had quite a large case put together that i’d cart around on our trips. The case contained a flashlight, pack of cards, pen and note book, charge cables for our phones, and space for other stuff. Over time I found it to be too large to be practical for every day use. It was a too big to fit in my helmet bag, it took up too much space in any of my camera bags, and some of the stuff inside was more appropriate for a camping kit than an every day carry.

I decided to start from scratch, to build out a pouch with essentials like a knife, light, tools, and some medications. Later i’ll be building out a go-to small carry camera bag for our short trips which will house this EDC pouch, a small camera kit, as well as some necessities incase we get stranded overnight. That’s to come, but for now here’s what‘s in my Helicopter EDC pouch.
